Outdoor Gatherings Increase to 20 from Saturday 13 June

In the ever changing world that is the easing of restrictions please see below the most recent information from the Office of Sport, what does this mean for pony club I hear you all ask?

From Saturday 13th June clubs may hold training/rally days with groups of up to 20 per group instead of the 10 listed in the risk assessment document on our website. The risk assessment document is to be used as a template (example) for clubs and can be amended as changes occur to the Public Health Orders. Clubs will need to complete a Covid Safety Plan here and send a copy of their risk assessment to the office for insurance purposes.

Clubs who have canteens can look at re-opening these as well however please remember that you will need to follow the guidelines surrounding serving of food on top of the other Covid safety precautions so for those of you that haven’t as yet run a rally day maybe leave the canteen until next time.

Hopefully we will receive some guidelines regarding competitions from the 1st July once we have more information we will share that with you.

Outdoor Gatherings Increase to 20 from Saturday 13 June

The NSW Government has announced a further easing of restrictions from Saturday 13 June, with food courts allowed to reopen, the number of people allowed to visit homes increased from 5 to 20, and the number of people allowed to gather outdoors increased from 10 to 20.

This announcement will enable sport and recreation organisations to expand to groups of 20 for outdoor, non-contact training activities, maintaining physical distancing.

Organisations are reminded that until changes come into effect, they are required to comply with the current Public Health Order and follow the recommended physical distancing measures of 1.5 metres while training in groups of up to 10 people.

Further information will be published on the Office of Sport COVID-19 page as it becomes available.
