Resumption of Sport: Phase 1
Posted: Fri, 22nd May 2020
From Friday 22nd of May, Phase 1 of the Resumption of Sport may commence
The Acting Minister for Sport Dr Geoff Lee has confirmed that sports may commence their phased resumption of sport activities.
Pony Club NSW has prepared documents to assist clubs in their return to sport. These can be found on the website here, as well as further informaiton and examples of signage that must be placed on the grounds.
Attached are a few documents to help clubs during this process - Coronavirus Self-Declaration Form that needs to be completed by everyone attending, Resumption of Sport Guidelines and Checklists and an example Risk Assessment for Clubs. There is also an infographic to help general members understand their responsibilities in the return to rally days.
This may commence from Friday 22nd May however Clubs must contact their venue owners (Council, Trusts etc.) to confirm that the grounds are available for use and have completed their own risk assessment document for their venue.
Members must comply with the PCA NSW, NSW Health Guidelines and NSW Public Health Orders so that they do not compromise their position in the event of an insurance claim.
We do not want our sport/clubs to be the next COVID-19 cluster so if someone is not well they should stay at home or be sent home.
