Pony Club is back in Full Swing!
We have seen the majority of Pony Clubs across NSW land back on their feet after E.I. With clubs holding regular rally days, gymkanas, dressage and show jumping days and camps. It has been great to hear stories from various clubs about the activities being held. Make sure you check the Pony Club NSW website regularly to find out what other clubs are have been up to. Please send us any stories or photos of your Club returning to action. Email to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to PO BOX 2085, Wollongong, NSW, 2500.
Just a quick reminder that Event Registrations, Travelling Horse Statements and Horse Attendance forms are still necessary. Please remember to complete the DPI Event Registration form at least 72 hours prior to the Event AND fax a copy to Pony Club NSW, likewise with the Horse Attendance forms. Pony Club members attending a horse event must fill in a Travelling Horse Statement and have it with them at all times whilst on the road.
It has been 9 months since our last State Championships, however the last six months of this year will see at least one State Championship per month. First Event off the rank will be State Showjumping, being hosted by Zone 14 at the Cobargo Showground (Entries close 30th May). Closely following this Event will be the State Dressage hosted by Zone 28 at Worrigee Equestrian Common. It will be exciting to see Pony Club riders back out proudly representing their Zones at these championships.
Pony Club NSW has created our first television commercial to promote the Association. The ad will air on the 24th April and run for two weeks on the WINTV network across the Southern Region of NSW. We are in negotiations to schedule the ad to air across Northern NSW in the later part of the year. Pony Club NSW would like to send a huge thank you out to the Zone 22 officials, riders and parents who helped us with the filming of the ad. A special thanks to Rita Appleyard, Steve McNamurra, Vanessa Bourne, Kerry Benny, Kellie Jones and Pauline Pickles for all their efforts.

Senior Mounted Games Training Squad
Applications for the 2008 Senior Mounted Games Training Squad have reopened.
Fifteen riders will be selected to form the squad to be trained by Mr Phil Logue. The NSW team, to compete at the 2008 National Championships in South Australia during November 2008, will be selected from the squad members. This squad will not operate the same as the Junior squad. Training will be focused closer to the National event.
Applications close 30th May 2008 at the PCA office.
Pony Club Uniform Survey
Pony Club NSW is currently in negotiation with Midford Clothing to develop a centralised system for uniform ordering. It can be difficult for new and old secretaries alike to source and order various clothing items, with such problems as colour availabilities, colour consistency and the hassle of dealing with different retailers. It can also be difficult for new members to know where to purchase uniform items and what colour/brands to get.
The proposed system will allow clubs/zones to order various items, including shirts, ties, jumpers, jackets and polo shirts directly from Midford clothing at the best price - without markup from retailers. Clubs can then have the choice to use this facility if they wish.
In order to develop this system we need to know a few things about all NSW Pony Clubs uniforms (such as colours of each item) along with your current uniform ordering procedures. Could you please answer the questions on this survey and return to the State Office by post, fax or email before Friday 2 May 2008.
