Nelson Bay Pony Club - Club of the Month - February 2010
NELSON BAY PONY CLUB (Zone 25) is the Club of the Month for FEBRUARY. The Club have won themselves $1,000 worth of product from Horseland. This prize includes dressage cones, lunging equipment, bandages, books, training aids and other exciting resources. They are the 33rd Club to win Club of the Month since this competition was incepted in 2007. We received a number of outstanding entries over the past month which makes selecting a winner very hard. Congratulations to all clubs who have entered the competition - you all attend very inspiring clubs! We look forward to receiving more exciting entries this month. Nelson Bay's winning entry is as follows...
"We are a small but resourceful club with only 10 riding members and a handful of parents. Our jewel in the crown for 2009 season was to win the marchpast (best presented club) at Zone 25 Jamboree hosted by ourselves. Seven parents co-ordinated a two day event with 160 riders encompassing campdraft, dressage, showjumping, teams of four, hack and sporting along with Zone 25 presentation dinner on the Saturday night for over 150 people and a visit from Santa. Busy, very, but with many helpers coming forward from other clubs to offer assistance a wonderful success. Our club offers two qualified instructors and a friendly atmosphere catering to the needs of all of our riders from the four that represent at State level in different disciplines to the very nervous rider. Each year we host a dressage, interclub and showrider day with 2010 putting our hand up for a mounted games training weekend and instructors school as well. Small clubs can do big things!"

Each month Pony Club NSW runs the Club of the Month competition. Any current financial member can enter by nominating their club. HOW TO ENTER: What makes your club great? Email us your answer, in 500 words or less, along with a maximum of 4 photos no larger that 1MB each. Please also include; your name, Club, Zone as well as the Club Secretary name and email so that we can contact them should your club win. Email marketing@pcansw.org.au with the subject heading ‘Club of the Month’ 1 CLUB RECEIVES: $1,000 worth of product from Horseland. The pack includes; body protectors, dressage cones and a grooming kit. Packs are sent to the winning clubs secretary and used at committee discretion.
