The Nambucca River District Pony Club was Established in 1957 and celebrated their 50th year as a club in 2007 We are situated on the Mid-north Coast of New South Wales in the town of Macksville. A family oriented club we encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding. We provide instruction on riding and horsemanship for riders under the age of 25 years, and instil in members the proper care of their animals. In July school holidays the club holds an annual camp at Macksville Showground. Five days, five nights, culminating with the camp gymkhana on the final day.

Sundays - dates set at beginning of the year and notified in the club calendar. The day begins with gear check by instructors at 8.30am. Riders are requested to be punctual so that the session can begin promptly at 9.00am. We usually break for lunch around 12 noon. A canteen runs most rally days - members may be requested to bring their own lunch on rally days when there is no one to supervise the canteen. Following the luncheon break there is a short talk by the President and Secretary which informs members of upcoming events and closing dates as well as any other information necessary for the smooth running of the club. The afternoon session resumes at approximately 1.00pm and continues until 3.00pm to 3.30pm when everyone should make themselves available to put the equipment away in the gear shed before leaving for the day.
Troop Drill, flat riding, sporting, campdrafting, mounted games, showjumping, equitation, eventing, dressage, team penning, horse health, horsemanship, polocrosse, tent pegging, proficiency certificates.
8.30am for gearcheck ready to ride at 9.00am. Break around 12 noon for lunch then second session with finish at 3.00-3.30pm
Club Colours: RUST & GOLD Club colours are Henna Jumper, Dark Rust Tie, White Shirt and Bone Jodhpurs. Saddle cloth is tartan - dark green with gold (mustard) and maroon - with orange binding and the letters NRD The club has invested funds in good equipment for the members such as polocrosse racquets and balls, tent-pegging lances, mounted games equipment, dressage arenas and showjumping and sporting equipment. There are 6 protective vests in various sizes for showjumpers which are available for fixtures.
