We have had a number of outstanding entries over the last few months, which makes selecting a winner very hard. Congratulations to all clubs who have entered the competition - you all attend very inspiring clubs! We look forward to receiving more exciting entries this month.
Grafton Pony Club was established in 1956 and is in Zone 15 on the North Coast of NSW. In 2009 we have 170 riding members and 58 non riding members who meet monthly for two day rally days. We have a wide variety of activities including jumping, dressage, flat work, sporting, polo cross, campdrafting and the favourite activity each rally day is going around our cross country course. We hold an Easter camp for our members as well as an October holiday camp open to all PCA NSW members.
In November Grafton hosts the Jacaranda festival based on the beautiful purple blossoms and this year Grafton Pony Club entered a float in the Saturday afternoon parade. We had junior and sub junior riders seated in the truck and the seniors walked in front of the truck leading the way with the loud hailer and pony club banner. We also have a member with a purple float which was also towed behind with “pretend horses” loaded. A great afternoon was had by all and entering the parade raised the awareness of our great pony club in the Grafton area.
